He takes that sigh as something of contentment, and purr-chirps. As he kicks off his shoes, his arms wrap around your midsection carefully, his longer body wrapping itself around you in a way. He presses a lazy kiss to your chest and settles himself comfortably to run a hand through your feathers. Kinda weird.
You rather wish you could tell him. But you don’t want to disappoint him.
Your higher-pitched purr starts again as he curls around you, and you pull him close to you, nuzzling him with a rumbling coo as he pets your feathers.

Damn, you’re being cute. Dave sniggers quietly and picks you up to carry you to the bed for some cuddles. You looked like you needed cuddles, and he was going to deliver. “Good, I’m proud, as dumb as that sounds,” he murmurs, setting you on your bed with a low coo.
You click in confusion when he picks you up, but relax, leaning against him.
Dave saying he was proud of you just formed a pit of guilt in your stomach; the pinholes in your arms hidden by feathers seemed to twinge a bit, and you sigh again, almost silently.

“Why don’t you start writing down your thoughts? I won’t look, swear,” he proposes, holding you against him tightly. His hand cards through your hair as he thinks what else he could do before he chuckles. “I could get you a password journal like Sam. I’d never be able to get into that.”
“I already do, sometimes,” you sigh, hiding your face against him again and letting a low, chittering purr start in your throat, broken by a chuckle. “Nah. It’s fine. I already write anything I need to down in a place I haven’t told anyone about.”
